Things have really been bad at my job ever since our manager (Mike) moved to another store. So many of us loved him. He cared about the store and running it accordingly but, he also cared about his employees. That made a certain assistant manager (Bob)mad.
Bob focused his attention on trying to get employees who were loyal to Mike. Working and planning to get our manager fired. And if you proved your loyalty to the manager you were put on this Bobs hit list. Meaning he was going to find the smallest things to write you up and eventually get you fired. But he couldn’t do that because our manager protected us against this man.
I was the first to learn of Mikes news. And yes, I cried. He even took me into the office to talk. A week later our manager ran the morning meeting (I wasn’t there), to announce his departure. All I heard was people telling me how upset they were and how Bob was standing there in back of our manager smiling away in pure evil excitement.
With our manager out of the way this was clearly his chance to get rid of those who didn’t back him. One of them is me….
