What’s inside my May Boxycharm box???

Got my monthly May BoxyCharm. Again its a monthly subscription filled with 5 full size beauty products valued at around $120 but you only pay $25. So worth it even if you don’t use or like a couple of the products.

They also have a season called Boxyluxe for $49. It contains at least 8 beauty and lifestyle products with a value of $250.

Another is Boxycharm Premium that is a montly box with 6-7 beauty product with a value of $175 for just $35.

In all the boxes you will get to chose at least one item that you would like to receive for the current month.

There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.

I got the Glamglow Berryglow probiotic recovery face mask- A berry blend of antioxidant rich fruits(blueberry, cranberry and goji). Other ingredients include Lactobacillus Ferment Probiotic, Jojoba oil, hyaluronic acid and Shea butter.

Its purpose is to hydrate the skin, help with fine lines/wrinkles, free radical damage and hyper pigmentation.

I followed the directions which says to apply a thin layer onto clean skin leaving it on for 10 minutes. Wipe off gently or rinsing with water. I felt like I was applying a berry yogurt on my face. It even smelled like yogurt. When time was up I chose to rinse off with water. It made my face soft, clean and hydrated. Now keep in mind I just got my box and used this product once so far. I saw plenty of good reviews so I will continue to use and see if there are any obvious results. The cost for this is $49.00.

Pretty Vulgar Eye Shadow Primer- This helps to enhance your eye shadow, making the color stand out. It is long lasting and works well for all skin tones. This primer is infused with mineral rich clay to absorb excess oil. The retails for $22.00*

Update: I have never used products like this especially the ones for your entire face. I thought since this one was just for eyes that I would give it a try and see how well it worked with my new pallet. It went one very nicely and when I applied the eye shadow I do have to say that I really did make the shade I applied stand out. It has been on all day, and everything is still in place. I have to say I like it and will keep using.

Daily Concept Shampoo Bar- This is a plant based soap which contains 3 key ingredients.

Cactus oil- helping to prevent hair loss and promotes hair growth and heals split ends.

Aloe Vera- reduces dandruff and naturally conditions.

Avocado Oil- Rich in Vitamin A,D &E that helps moisturize the scalp, protects from UV damage.

This is packaged in a cardboard box and the rope is biodegradable. Making this a sustainable product.

Bar soaps are better for the environment by eliminating the use of plastic bottles. And this particular soap not only shampoos but conditions as well.

I love bar shampoos and can not wait to use and try this one out. This soap does cost a bit much at $24.00.

Update: I decided to give this a try since It stated that it works both as a shampoo and conditioner. It did not lather up like I would have expected. But I do have to say that my hair very very clean, conditioned and easy to comb afterwards. I love it! I would love to see how long its lasts and if it proves to be worth the cost.

Ayam Dead Sea minerals- Make up remover wipes that is infused with dead sea minerals and vitamin C serum. Removes all make up debris from skin while moisturizing the skin. It works great for all skin types.

I tried this but with being stuck at home I haven’t been wearing a lot of make-up and I never wear waterproof mascara so cant really say how well it works at removing anything. I however did not like these wipes because it made my face feel kind of sticky. I had to rinse my face with water after. I also think the price is kind of high for this type of product which retails for $17.00.

The last thing in my box is a Violet Voss Essentials eye pallet- This is a 10 pan pallet with beautiful warm & cool toned shades. You can go bold or go soft creating any look you want with these matte and metallic colors. I love getting eye shadow pallets and this one has shades that I know I will use. This one costs $29.00

Overall I was very impressed with what I got in this months box. My favorite has to be the pallet with all those wonderful colors. I cant wait to try them out. I never really use primers because it really is not my things but I am curious to check it out and see how it works with my new pallet. My least favorite were the wipes and those will be going to the trash. I really didn’t like the way it made my face feel. I added up the cost of my box and it came out to be $140. It really is a good deal when all you pay is $25.00.

  1. Tried the shampoo bar last night and loved it. My hair really felt clean, soft and like I had applied conditioner. It didnt lather up like I would have thought but it worked great. I love it and much better then the target shampoo bar that I was using.
